Putnam is board certified in diagnostic radiology and has experience using Sirtex's product, SIR-sphere microspheres. He currently holds an academic appointment as adjunct clinical assistant professor at the University of Pennsylvania and is a member of the Society of Interventional Radiology.
Putnam joins European operation medical director Dr Ralph Peters and Dr David Cade, the medical director at head office.
LCT director leaves
Alfred Vasconcellos has quite the board of Living Cell Technologies, according to a short statement released to the Australian Securities Exchange this morning.
Vasconcellos has served LCT as a director since October 2004.
LCT told BTN Vasconcellos was leaving to focus his energies on neurological programs in cell therapies, a space the company is not concentrating on at the moment.
The statement said that the LCT board wished to thank Vasconcellos for the valuable contribution he has made in developing the company's business, particularly in the US.
PanBio loses director
PanBio director Nicholas Rogers has quite the board of the Brisbane-based diagnostic company.
The company said that his resignation was for personal family reasons and his resignation will take effect from June 30.
The board will immediately commence a search for a replacement for Rogers informed by the current board composition and the desired board skill set.
Rogers has been a member of the PanBio board since November 2005 and the company said it has undergone a significant transformation since his appointment. Rogers' considerable experience has been invaluable in assisting the company achieve the results it has to date, according to the company's statement.
Safety Medical terminates finance director
In a terse statement to the ASX this morning, Safety Medical has announced that it has terminated the agreement between the company and finance and corporate development director Marcus Boland.
The company gave no reason for the decision in its statement, and chief executive John Riemelmoser refused to comment on the matter when BTN contacted him this morning.
